It’s been just over a year since the MakerSpace launched, and throughout 2019 we’ve seen some crazy designs from creators all around the world. As the year comes to a close, we wanted to highlight some of our team’s favorite designs from the past 12 months, all Made With MakerBrane.
Give a big round of applause to MakerBrane’s best of 2019!
Spaceship
By Villar
In the early days of MakerBrane, one maker was constantly putting out quality content day in day out. Villar’s commitment to simplistic quality shone in this spaceship design, one of the first designs to be featured on the MakerBrane homepage, where it stood for a long time.
Silver Rose
By Ahmet Ersal
Ahmet Ersal constantly surprises with the uniqueness of his designs. Not one is like the other, and each is better than the last. This hand holding a rose is one of the most original designs we’ve ever seen.
Castle
By Noah Isbell
Almost everyone who grew up with LEGO has built a castle at one point or another. We don’t know if Noah Isbell is one of them, but after seeing their design, we’re inclined to believe they’ve built a lot of them.
Mewtwo
By 瑾玥
We never expected that the MakerBrane parts would be used to create gorgeous 2D Art, but that’s exactly what many of you did. There has been lots of quality pixel art on the site, but the detail and shading on this Mewtwo sprite take the cake.
Ultimate Quinjet
By Akia_exe
The second spaceship on our list, Akia_exe blew us away with his effort. Containing 821 parts, the Ultimate Quinjet is one of the most detailed designs on MakerBrane, and that’s a level of patience we can’t not appreciate.
Beemo
By MariaMercedes
It’s BMO time! This cute little Adventure Time character was rebuilt by MariaMercedes using only Basic Blocks and a clever use of negative space. We love seeing people’s favorite characters on MakerBrane!
Simple Apartment Plan
By Jasinaaaa
Rooms and apartments are some of the most entertaining things to build. We love seeing all you aspiring interior designers out there creating cool hang out spots. Jasinaaaa made a cozy little apartment that we’d all love to live in one day.
Happy-Sad Face
By Khalif Akhyar
Did you know that you can make some pretty nifty illusions inside the MakerSpace? Khalif Akhyar knew, as his little character can go from smiling to frowning in an instant!
Red Shogun Zord
By Alex Vining
Powers Unite! Shogun Zord power is here, made in MakerBrane by Alex Vining. We love how the lighting in the 3D Viewer makes it look like Zord has epic eyes.
cLOUDHEAD
By Elepheel
Simple designs like cLOUDHEAD can potentially say a lot. Is he literally made of clouds? Is his head in the clouds? Does the capitalization of his name mean that his loud spherical thoughts are overtaking his mind? We can go on.
nhà sàn
By Khanh Dang
It’s refreshing to see architecture from around the world. This vietnamese temple is beautifully simplistic, with gorgeous colors and details making it stand out.
